"Waiting in Ophthalmology"

About: Sussex Eye Hospital

Anything else?

Whilst the treatment has always been excellent sometimes waiting for it is torture. I arrived early for my appointment and had the various tests completed by 10 40 am - the time of my appointment with the Specialist. I then had to sit on an uncomfortable chair in the corridor facing the wall until 12.35 pm. At 83 years of age and having had major and minor abdominal surgery in the last 10 months I was very stressed by the time I left the hospital. I dread coming back for my next appointment. This matter needs addressing - staff could at least tell patients the expected waiting time so that they can go and get a drink.
