"Closure of Dudley Walk in Centre"

The proposed closure of Dudley Walk in Centre would be a great mistake.

The service provided is excellent. Not all medical matters are emergencies and sometimes you might want to be reassured that your children are fine and do not require treatment or alternatively treatment such as antibiotics can be started immediately so preventing a worsening of the condition. It is difficult sometimes to get appointments at GP surgeries and GP surgeries are not open at weekends.

As someone like the majority of the population who does not have a medical degree it is difficult to know whether something needs immediate treatment particularly where children are concerned. The reassurance that you can see a doctor when needed is fantastic.

More pressure would be placed on A and E and also on GP surgeries if the walk in centre at Dudley were to close.
