Anything else?
Having taken my friend who is 90 years old to your hospital turned out to be a very pleasant experience for some one who had grave misgivings about going there in the first place. We did not encounter anyone at all who did give us such a pleasant experience. They were friendly efficient and tactful and treated my friend with the utmost consideration. One volunteer who transported us all round the hospital on the buggy he was so pleasant and helpful. So was everyone we came in contact with. It allayed my friends fears entirely. My only concern and disgust is with the taxis who operate the ambulance service to and from the hospital. Is it because they don't receive many gratuities or what. They may come to the door to announce their arrival but quickly jump into the car behind their driving wheel leaving the elderly to open the doors and manage to get inside. Not good enough courtesy and helpfulness goes a long, long way in my book. Some doors are extremely difficult for the elderly and infirm to operate especially the one which slide open. We do appreciate that this service exists but training could improve their manner. Again many thanks for the wonderful way in which this hospital and staff co-operate with their patients on all levels. Depts visited were accident and emergency, x ray(Scan) and ambulatory
"Turned a very pleasant experience."
