"Fantastic Service from my Dentist !"

Recently I have had two notably excellent bits of service from my dental practice at Moor Road, Orell, Wigan.

I have had issues with a root canaled molar for the whole year and been waiting to get the courage (due to my enduring mental health issues) to have it removed by dental surgery (the tooth was too damaged for a normal extraction).

With my mental illness making me avoidant of most things, I did not arrange my first referral and was making do with a temporary fix to the tooth. However a couple of weeks ago, the tooth snapped in half at about 4.30 pm. Fortunately I was near Moor Road and my dentist saw me straightaway without an appointment.

Subsequent to this, another dentist at the practice successfully extracted the molar without the need for extensive work, referrals etc.

I can only begin to describe the professionalism and superb manner of the two young dentists I have seen recently. Both were calm, professional, reassuring and friendly. Both did excellent work and now I am pain free for Christmas. Also the dental nurse is very polite and reassuring too.

I have had many bad experiences with NHS Services but the staff at this practice are an example to all how NHS Services ought to be.

2 years ago if someone had said to me 'Which would you prefer toothache or the dentist' I would have said toothache every time. Now my opinion is vastly different and I just wanted to express my appreciation.
