"A & E / Ambulance failure"

About: Hereford County Hospital

Anything else?

Recently: GP phoned for ambulance from patients bed room, and ward notification of patient on the way. Ambulance arrived (18 miles) 6 hours and ten minutes later (actually the next day). Signed over to A&E trolley in sort of corridor. Eventually BP armlet put on. One hour and ten minutes later patient removed same. After further - 2? 3? 4? hours a capable young doctor arrived and from then on proper course taken.. This must remain anonymous or cancel it; patient is booked in shortly for operations.
