"The food is the only thing that could be improved"

About: Nottinghamshire Healthcare NHS Foundation Trust / The Woodlands (inpatient unit for substance misuse)

(as a staff member posting for a patient/service user),

Yesterday (Wednesday 18th December) We went to the Woodlands at Highbury Hospital to gather some feedback.

The question we asked was - How do you feel about the services you receive; good, bad or indifferent?

A Patient responded:

"I've only just got here but it seems alright. I didn't have to wait long for my assessment and the staff are really nice. There isn't anything I would improve at the moment but I guess the food's not great. That's the only thing that could be better. "

Thanks for your feedback, we always welcome it, good, bad or indifferent!!!

We continue to pass on our service users views regarding the food to our kitchen staff who in turn continue to try and improve their menus based on that feedback. In addition to this we facilitate a cooking group where service users prepare their own meals. This has proven to be a very popular part of our recovery programme.

It's also great to hear that someone feels so welcomed and at ease having only just been admitted to the unit.

Many Thanks
