Found myself at the infirmary again at the end of October2013 for (another!) colonoscopy. As always, the staff in the unit were brilliant, kind, compassionate and caring. Unfortunately I also had to have a gastroscopy a month later, but the staff in the unit again were so kind, caring and pleasant, they really do have the knack of making what could be difficult, traumatic examinations very easy. A BIG thankyou to you all. However, it would be better if there was a receptionist in the waiting area. Sometimes in the unit, things are delayed, ( which is understanable), so it's easy to feel " forgotten" but there's no-one there to ask if they have forgotten you, or if you're in the right place. I knew I was in the right place, but a couple of other patients were getting anxious as there was nobody to ask. Also, given how difficult it is to park at CIC, if you are dropped off whilst your companion parks, if you are called in to the unit before they get back from parking, there is no-one they ask if they are in the right place, or where you are.
