The way the staff in Stroud Hospital's A & E department looked after me when I gashed my leg quite badly three months ago (having been delivered there by excellent paramedic) was swift, impressively efficient, most kind and very reassuring. The wound was expertly dressed by a cheerful, careful nurse, creating a beautiful network of steri-strips, then checked in A & E the following day before passing me on to my GP's practice nurse for future dressings. I'm sure this excellent care in the initial stages contributed greatly to the satisfactory way the wound has now almost healed. Am sincerely grateful to have this great NHS facility and service so close to home, and for the professional calibre of people working there.
