What could be improved

I thought it was bad having to wait so long on my visit today, I arrived at 9.30 am for my 10.30 appointment to be told there was no beds then at 12.30 pm told it would not be long now. 2.00 pm I had a bed and was prepped up ready to go only to be told at 4.00 pm that my notes had'nt arrived and no-one knew where they were ! so I had to go home as my procedure could't be done. I was in a terrible state as I had got myself worked up and I was frightened, I kept telling myself it would all be over by this evening - little did I know it would be over without having anything done. Now I have to go through the waiting game again, getting all worked up waiting for the post with another appointment !

Patients notes could or should be there waiting as the hospital know when we are coming as we know at least 2 weeks in advance so why aren't they chased up for our appointments? I feel sorry for the staff on duty as they're the ones that get the rough end of our tongues, they don't deserve it.
