I am writing to thank the senior consultants at the Oxford Myasthenia service who went out of their way to provide an informed second opinion and support me and thier surgical colleagues when I had a six hour thymectomy at Oxford Heart Centre. I had no less than two senior neurology consultants visit me, plus their staff, before and after my operation. My case was complex. The staff were spent a lot of time trying to overcome great diffculties. Thank you. Possibly the most important aspect was that I was treated with respect who had a right to make an informed decision.
