On behalf of my mother in law, I would like to express my gratitude and thanks to how the staff on this ward treated her when her husband of 60 years passed away unexpectedly. The staff were.kind and caring at this difficult time and allowed her as much time as she needed to say goodbye. Prior to this unexpected outcome, I observed staff being quietly efficient in dealing with patients' medical, personal and emotional needs and thank them for their kindness and good humour.

Thank you for your comments regarding your mother-in-law's care through her bereavement, which we have shared with our staff. We do try to ensure we treat patients and visitors the way we would like our own family to be treated and it is therefore heartening to read about the kindness and patience shown to your mother-in-law.
