Today I attended The Endoscopy Unit for a colonoscopy. I was really nervous about the procedure, but needn't have been anxious, as I was made very welcome and put at ease by the whole staff from my arrival, to my departure. (The whole procedure including recovery and refreshments took only 1 1/2 hours). Through out this time I was looked after extremely well. Special thanks to the nurse who cared for me and put me at ease from the time I arrived to the time I left, and to the consultant who carried out the procedure and kept me informed of what was happening through out. I left totally relaxed and reassured. Many thanks to all staff.
