"The Oncology dept new booking in method"

About: Derriford Hospital / Oncology

(as the patient),

I have visited twice in 3 weeks for an oncology appointment, and the new booking in system is pretty easy for me, but I cant help but see that for some patients, who are already probably not in a great place, and already stressed, to not just go to a reception with a friendly face and a reassuring smile is in my opinion is a backward step.

Tricia the receptionist gets constantly interrupted anyway with having to tell people to log in at the electronic machine.

A reassuring greeting goes a long long way which for many is a very scary journey!
