My mum is a regular visitor to the A&E department as she Self Harms, when she visited tonight, she was met by a rude doctor who told her she was selfish, and it was attention seeking behaviour. My mum was extremely upset by this. He had absolutely no right to say this. Your staff need to learn a thing or two about Mental Health and read people note's before they treat patients, My mum is a human being and she deserves to be treated with respect like everyone else who walks through the door. Staff nurse was also rude who then went on to call her a liar. I would not recommend this hospital to anybody requiring treatment. Despicable behaviour from the Doctor and the nurse. If they don't like dealing every aspect that comes with nursing they need to take up another job. I will not let this drop I'll be in touch with my mum's nurse who is associated with your hospital. Shame on you all.... Your staff need to get back to Medical School.
