I have had two total hip replacements, one as a private patient in January 2013 and the other as an NHS patient in October 2013. I was treated in exactly the same way, both as a private and NHS patient. The accommodation, food and facilities are excellent. All the staff, from the top consultant, the nursing, catering, cleaning and maintenance staff are all so helpful and considerate. My partner benefited from the free, convenient parking and being able to join me at meal times. Both operations were a success and it is wonderful now to be without pain. The operating staff were particularly accommodating when I asked if they would defer anesthetising me until I had absorbed the wonderful atmosphere of the operating theatre.
