"Change in drugs/treatment"

About: The Princess Royal Hospital / General surgery

(as the patient),

A couple of years ago, I was put on so many micrograms/hour transdermal patches, this was for bad back and leg pains. This provided a great deal of pain relief, however I have since been told that I MUST change and go on to Morphine tablets, this was without any consultation, looking at the pros and cons of these tablets I find that they are unsuitable for patients with under active thyroid glands and slow heart rate, both of which I suffer from.

I have asked to be kept on the treatment which has suited me, but been told that the guide lines given to them meant it was a fait accompli that I change.
