Anything else?
I was sent to north Manchester General on the 19th June 2013 for a gastroscopy. I arrived at 1.45 I did not have the procedure done until 6.00p.m. The results showed several health issues. One of which was gallstones. I then seen the consultant on 3rd of October who arranged for me to be admitted for there removal, I then receive an appointment for a pre-op for the 14th November. All well an good, I therefore expected that I would be admitted soon after this only to find out that it can take up to 20 weeks after this before you are admitted to hospital. I find that there is something totally wrong with the system and the information supplied on NMG hospital website and that the waiting times and information is totally false. There is nothing to say that a person classified as healthy prior to admission will still be healthy 5 months down the line, Something needs to be done about this and patients need to be better informed of the waiting times and procedures. In the meantime I have to suffer in agony for the next 5 months unable to do anything about it, I am extremely concerned about the way this system is operating. Miss M A Barke
