"Brilliant!"

About: William Harvey Hospital (Ashford)

Anything else?

I was in The WH on 28th November 2013 (last week) for a somewhat complicated femur alignment and hip replacement and I have to say that I was very impressed indeed. My consultant has done the most amazing job in what were fairly challenging circumstances and I shall be forever in his debt. The physiotherapists, nursing and auxiliary staff on my ward, Kings C2, too couldn't have treated me with more respect, kindness and good humour - always essential, in my opinion. I had originally wanted the operation at Benenden Hospital but the Consultant preferred to use the WH team - they sure didn't disappoint. Sheer bliss to have legs not only level but now pointing in the same direction; also, the post op swelling/bruising has been short lived and, despite taking very few painkillers, I can honestly say, I have had no pain, just an ache. Thank you to you all and best wishes for the future! Dorothy Bird.
