"It would be better if they could send someone to see me at home"

About: Harmoni / NHS 111

(as a service user),

I needed to call the 111 service because I was feeling very anxious.

When I called they went through a lot of questions with me and then told me I should go to the hospital. I did go but the waiting time at the hospital was so long, because of my anxiety I could not think clearly and went home without being seen by the doctor.

It would be better if they could send someone to see me at home when I am feeling anxious. This would help to calm me down and feel better quicker.

Thank you for taking the time to post your experiences of NHS111 on this website. I hope that you are feeling a bit better now.

May I suggest that, as you have a longstanding health issue, it may be advisable for you to speak to your own GP regarding the creation of a Special Note for our system so that when you call in, we can assess your needs using the information your GP has supplied us with in mind.
