"sent home with diarrhea bug after receiving..."

About: Countess Of Chester Hospital

Anything else?

I needed another stent fitted which went fine. After that the nursing care seemed ok. On the day of my discharge i had bad diarrhea and had a few accidents. I asked a nurse for some diposable knickers, she didn`t seem too happy to get them for me but after i told her i had used all my own ones she finally relented. I was sent home later that day then spent most of the time on the toilet. My GP visited me the next day and took a sample of my diarrhea ,which turned out to contain a bug. Had i needed to have chemotherapy this would have turned into a superbug. I believe this was MRSA which surely could have been avoided if every patient was tested for it. I have been admitted at least 3 times now and have never had a MRSA test.
