"Appointments at doctor's surgery"

About: Greater Manchester

(as a staff member),

This story has been posted by Healthwatch Tameside on behalf of a member of the public who asked not to have their name published. They said…

Only given appointment at doctor's surgery for 2 weeks ahead and often more than 2. It is possible to phone at 3.30 for a more urgent appointment but seems all have already been allocated when you ring. When hospital or test results arrive, the receptionist phones you to tell you to make an appointment. And so it goes on.
