Anything else?
I brought my friend to A&E by ambulance (having waited 55 minutes), she was treated very well by the staff. However, the 2 breaks in her arm were not treated immediately, so I see no value in anyone being taking to an emergency centre after and accident! She was sent away with a poor sling and painkillers. No doctor present. She was told that she would be called by someone Monday or Tues. They called Monday and advised she would need a CT scan, but this couldn't be booked until later. In too much pain she decided to cancel West Middx and went and paid privately for help. Today 3 Dec , having gone to a private clinic she has discovered that in fact she has 3 breaks, one below the shoulder, one above the elbow and a broken wrist which is pushed back into the joint and this should have never been left un treated. No, I would not recommend A&E to my family and friends, particularly on a weekend - there is no service. The staff were, however, pleasant and helpful within the conditions and rules they work under. The service is diabolical. Its a national disgrace this, I am sure does not just relate to West Middx. I bet this review doesn't find its way on the the review list on the front of this website!
