I was in for about a week following complications with my chemotherapy. I was really only in for observation, so my review is actually on the elderly ladies in the bed opposite. Both had emergency situations arise while I was there and I was very impressed with the way the nurses and doctors came to their aid. They were professional and calm and dealt with their emergencies in just the way I would want to be looked after. When the relatives came later, I made it clear just how well their mother/partner had been treated. Not enough is said (I feel) about how well the staff do in these situations. Besides that, I want to point out how brilliant all the staff was, from the domestics up. The ward was spotless, the staff polite, friendly, never short with some of the patients, no matter what type of naughtiness they were up to! This is my second stay in Ward 17, last time being a year and a half ago. Both times I was very impressed.
