"After just visting my mother in ..."

About: King's Mill Hospital

(as a relative),

What could be improved

After just visting my mother in law after she has had a hip replacement, on ward 11 I was amazed to see the local hairdesser in the ward spraying hair spray on the ladys hair in the next bed. at the time my mother in law was on oxygen and inhalers, and has a chest infection, and one lady only just returned from her operation, how can this be acceptable to people surely the day room would be better for this, these are sick people who need oxygen not poisoning after a major operation.

Thank you for your comments, which have been brought to the attention of appropriate staff. It has been reinforced to Ward 11 that they should be using dayrooms for this, and we are speaking with other nursing leads to ensure this is done throughout the hospital.
