"Amazing staff and care in maternity unit!"

About: Watford General Hospital

Anything else?

Having experienced a week on the Victoria Ward in May (my baby was lying transverse) I would like to say all the staff there were wonderful. The midwives were lovely, kind and considerate (despite being clearly rushed off their feet) and so were the supporting staff. I felt very well looked after. I felt my wishes were taken into consideration as I was able to have an ECV and avoid a caesarean. I had my baby 2 weeks later (number 3 and my second birth at WGH and the ABC) After initially being sent up to the Delivery Suite as the ABC was closed with staff being off sick I was thankfully sent back down to the ABC when it reopened at the shift handover and was able to have my baby in the pool just in time! I was very lucky I was the only one there and so was able to stay the night there in my own room. My midwife was wonderful and I felt very safe with her. The whole birth was a positive experience!
