"Failure to communicate between staff - Ward 31"

About: Freeman Hospital

Anything else?

I have become increasingly disturbed and alarmed at the catalogue of events on Ward 31 Freeman Hospital. It has become clear to me of a complete breakdown in communication between ward staff and where necessary senior staff (ie sister/charge nurse). As a frequent patient on this ward, I have both witnessed and experiences situations which bring into question the professional and caring and hygiene standards within a Renal Unit. The situation is deteriorating and given the lack of supervision and consultation, it has become quite clear - Ward 31 is in terminal decline, unless swift action is undertaken it will necessary for outside agencies to be called in and investigate. A written complain has been forwarded to the Matron of Ward 31 and depending upon the outcome, may well be referred to outside agencies.
