Anything else?
I have had my own own experiences of giving birth at St Michaels hospital in 1987 and 1989 and since then been present at the birth of my granddaughter in Jan 2012 and again anytime soon with another granddaughter. My daughter in law had a perfect pregnancy first time around and a reasonably quick and straightforward birth in Jan 2012. This pregnancy, however, hasn't been quite the same 'walk in the park' and having had to contact the midwives on delivery suite a few times on behalf of my daughter in law, despite not being able to discuss anything specific with me for obvious reasons, the midwives have been prompt and efficient in dealing with my daughter in laws difficulties and contacted her directly themselves. The staff are amazing and go over and beyond their call of duty quite often to ensure the best services are always available with the little resources available due to massive healthcare cuts and privatisation of services. God bless them all.
"Mother in law of expectant mother."
