"My husband was airlifted to the ..."

About: Cumberland Infirmary

(as a relative),

What I liked

My husband was airlifted to the hospital after being taken ill walking on the fells in the Lake District. From the minute we arrived in the emergency dept ,then the assesement ward then the stroke ward,we were always kept informed of how he was progressing. He was there for two weeks before being transferred to Royal Preston Hospital. All the staff were very kind and understanding.Because we had to travel so far, they were very relaxed with the visiting times which was much appreciated.A big thankyou to all.

What could be improved

Nothing to fault on the wards or the cleanliness or the care given. But if visiting times on different wards were staggered somehow, parking would maybe a little easier.
