"I had the misfortune to attend ..."

About: King Edward Vii Hospital (Windsor)

(as a relative),

What I liked

I had the misfortune to attend the windsor eye hospital out patients with my wife, who has eyeritas, the hospital was clean.and when we eventualy we got treatment the doctors were fine, but we both left feeling tired and stressed,

What could be improved

The problems started when my wife’s doctor tried to get an emergency appointment, they asked if we could go to another hospital, as they were full.

Staff appeared to be over stretched, and at times confused but polite, the car parking was a nightmare, but at least they didn’t charge us for having the nightmare, waiting times were terrible, nearly 3 hours before we got to see the doctors, we could not get the drugs at the hospital as the pharmacist was closed, one of the drugs was a specialist drug so we had to wait 24 hours before we could get it, even though my wife was told she had to put it in her eye asp, there were only a few disabled parking bays which is completely in adequate for a hospital of this size ,I’m disabled but had to drive my wife to the hospital ,as she could not see ,for this type of hospital that is treating older ,and disabled people. You would of thought more provision would have been made for disabled drivers.
