"My support worker invested time and care in helping me"

I was helped so much by Advocacy Support (my support worker was Alex).

I have post traumatic stress disorder after a traumatic series of problems at IVF Wales in Cardiff, which resulted in me having to file an official complaint.

Alex helped me write letters of complaint to the necessary departments in the hospital and it took a great deal of worry away for me, knowing that someone had helped give me my 'voice' back, as I felt I was not being heard prior to this.

My support worker invested time and care in helping me. My disability means I have trouble dealing with stressful situations, and by having Alex meet me weekly for a few weeks we were able to summarise my complaint into a format that was acceptable to send to the hospital.

I hope that my letters to the hospital, written with the help of Alex, will be listened to and Alex will be able to attend any meeting they offer me to help resolve the complaint. The IVF and gynecology directors are already aware of my case and trying to help resolve the issues, but it is still not completely resolved.

Without Advocacy Support, I would be a lot more stressed and I am very grateful that such an organisation exists to help people like myself.
