I had a serious fracture and dislocation of my ankle. I spent two weeks in Poplar ward, and had two rather lengthy operations. What could be quite a stressful time in my life was eased by the care I was shown by the staff of the hospital. Sadly, due to having the memory of a goldfish, I can not remember all names, but I would like to give a big thanks to all the staff in Poplar ward and the female doctor anesthetist for my first operation who went out of her way to check on me the day after my operation. Even though the food was dreadful, I can not complain about my stay.
