A very big thank you to all of the staff who treated me on Monday 18 November for a knee arthroscopy. You were all so kind and so efficient and I really feel that your patience and understanding has contributed to my speedy recovery. My rehab is now up to me and I shall have to work on my exercises but you have given me such a good start that I feel that I cannot fail! In detail....... Thank to to the nurse who booked me in so nicely, the nurse who found me a bed to sleep on when I got tired and explained how to to put my stocking on, the surgeon who explained everything so patiently and the anesthetist who made me less scared of a general than I ever have been and put me to sleep so gently. Thanks also to nurses in the recovery room who put up with my constant demands for water (sorry about that) and the nurse who again patiently answered all questions and went and checked with the doctor on a couple of questions. Thanks also to the surgeon for explaining things so nicely afterwards - I'd like him to know it's not nearly as painful as I thought it would be and the stitches are tiny - thank you! Thanks also to the nurses on the station for bringing me yet more water! I really hope that I have not forgotten anyone - I think you are all brilliant and shall remember you always.
