"Meeting Flu campaign targets "

About: Community Nursing Services / Ashfield Community Nursing

(as a staff member),

Health Partnerships provide Community healthcare services across the county of Nottinghamshire and are a division of Nottinghamshire Healthcare Trust.

Mansfield & Ashfield is one of the localities within Health partnerships that provides services for a GP registered population of approximately 185,000, delivered to patients in their own home and also in a number of clinic environments across the locality.

In support of the National Flu campaign and local commissioners, a dedicated Flu team in Ashfield Adult Community Nursing has worked very hard to ensure that all care home residents and house bound patients and their carers in Ashfield have received the Flu vaccine.

In less than 5 weeks approximately 2000 flu vaccinations have been carried out. As winter approaches this will help prevent ill health and hospital admissions for vulnerable patients.

This has been a huge campaign in Ashfield this year, and despite some initial teething problems, our dedicated Flu team, have vaccinated all of the Patients who requested a flu vaccine, and also in the majority of CAre Homes within the locality, this has been a huge effort, and I congratulate all staff involved, to drive up positive, proactive Healthcare in the Community. Congratulations team!
