"Referral for podiatry appointment"

About: Telford referral and quality service (TRAQS)

(as a service user),

In mid October I tried to make an appointment with podiatry, but as it was over 12 months since the last appointment - I must have a referral from a doctor.

I rang Wellington Medical Practice and had same day appointment. I was amazed! Getting an appointment at Wellington has been a battle and frustration previously.

7-10 days later I had a phonecall from podiatry and an appointment for mid November. This was not confirmed in writing.

Towards the end of it I had a letter from podiatry referring to my nail surgery assessment - I have 10 year old verrucas - so I rang and was told in no uncertain terms that late November was my appointment and I shall continue hobbling for a further 2 weeks.

Hello,

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback.

We understand your frustration at having to wait for your appointment. Unfortunately, TRAQS does not have any control over local waiting times for community clinics or hospitals.

We wish you all the best with your treatment.
