"Pre Admission to Stanmore"

About: The Royal National Orthopaedic Hospital (Stanmore)

(as the patient),

I was due to have my operation but four days before it was decided that it would be a risk as I had not had a Cardiac Report. An urgent request was put through to my GP and I duly went for the testing. I was asked to let them know immediately the test was done and they would, because of the urgency, telephone for the results. I also arranged for the tests to be faxed to the doctor. The Cardiac tests were completed twenty days after the date of the original letter and faxed to the doctor at the hospital. Some thirty days later I have still had no contact from the hospital whatsoever. So much for their initial diagnoses that my femur was in an extremely critical condition and needed urgent surgery.
