"Treat with respect and care"

About: University Hospital Of North Durham

Anything else?

I was referred to the RAMAC unit on Thursday 14th November and can only speak highly of the care I received. Both the nurses (rushed off their feet) and the doctor on duty constantly checked on me and communicated what was happening. They came round with lunch bags (sandwich, apple, juice and biscuit) which was welcome as I hadn't thought about food. I was offered a choice of treatment/investigative procedure and all were clearly explained. I was offered the choice to wait all day or go home and return the next day. I was part of the process which, at times, gave me a little bit of control on what was a scary day.
