"Maternity Ward and Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU)"

About: Royal Surrey County Hospital

Anything else?

I unexpectedly went into labour at 34 weeks + 3 days on the 30 October 2013. As it was our first child, my partner and I were very surprised and unprepared to say the least! But from the moment we were admitted to the Maternity Ward at the Royal Surrey, the professional care and support we received was outstanding. After the safe delivery of my son, he was admitted to the Special Care Baby Unit (SCBU), where he spent two weeks. Again the care and attention we received from all the staff at the SCBU was fantastic. Thank you so very much, the Royal Surrey is a brilliant hospital and is an excellent example of the NHS at it's very best.

Many thanks for taking the time to write about your experience. We are really pleased to hear that all went well after what must have been a traumatic experience for both you and your partner. Our SCBU team really value your feedback and it is great to hear that you received a high level of care whilst at the Royal Surrey. Best wishes, Royal Surrey County Hospital
