On Thursday 14th November, 2013 I took my wife to the Neurology Dept. at New Cross Hospital, Wolverhampton. She had a 10.00 a.m. appointment. Having parked we found that the hospital was very well signposted and locating the Neurology Dept. was a simple matter. The appointment letter had included a map of the hospital. On entering the department we were immediately asked to cleanse our hands from the dispensers provided (something I have not been asked specifically to do elsewhere, even though dispensers were provided - excellent procedure at New Cross). Having booked in at reception at 9.50 a.m. my wife was called for her appointment at exactly 10.00 a.m. She was prepared for the tests by a very pleasant nurse who ensured my wife (who is disabled with M.S.) was comfortable and clear about what was going to take place. When the attending Neurologist arrive to carry out the tests, he too was very pleasant and reassuring, explaining the procedures and what he was looking for as each test was completed. We were on our way home at 10.50 a.m. Well done New Cross and all the staff involved.
