Anything else?
My husband was a pt. on ward A6 Surgical ward after having a procedure completed by his consultant, who is a complete Gentleman, he was extremely well looked after no complaints whatever ,the whole staff from the domestics, porters right through to the Drs. Were a credit to The N.H.S. No complaints till his discharge then it became a Pantomime it took Nine (9) yes Nine hours to complete his discharge No fault of the nurses or Drs. It was the procedure that we were led to believe that had to be followed the nurses took the discharge as far as they could then they hit a wall . Not only was the wait stressfull for my husband as we lived 60minutes away by car on a good run, Friday at 4:30 p.m. Doesn't give you a good run, but as when he was admitted at 7a.m. On the day of his Op. He was told up till 2p.m. No beds available it makes you wonder, what is going on, my husbands bed was unoccupied for 9hrs. Was another pt. told sorry no beds ! I would like to emphasise that all the staff, day &night did all they could to make sure my husband was kept comfortable, informed&full aware of treatment &why he was having that treatment Kind regards.
