"Nearly the worst hospital"

About: Royal Preston Hospital

Anything else?

My husband is currently in hospital. He has been in a week and a half up to now. to long if you ask me. The family are constantly having to badger the staff for information on how he is and what's to be done next with his treatment, which in my opinion should be told to the family on a regular basis. He is getting very low and depressed, every time he tries to make conversation with the staff, they do not seem to want to bother with him, so he is feeling that nobody cares and that he may in fact die in hospital. The hospital seems very grubby and there never seems to be any body about when you want them(Doctors or Consultants). It amazes me that nothing goes on over the weekend, which makes me wonder why someone can only be ill (Monday to Friday) and the weekend nobody seems to work much! Apart from one other hospital which my mother ended up mental in, which I certainly wouldn't recommend to anyone to go to., Preston hospital is up on the list of hospitals I would not like to go to very often if I could help it.
