I informed you about blood spillages not being cleaned immediately and i found today the same promblem not with the person i care for but the gentleman in the opposite bed who was an ex client of mine. He was nil by mouth, he was delayed and went 15 hours nil by mouth just waiting and again blood spillages not cleaned. i was told this would be looked into but no,still the same neglect. my nok was going to have an op today, no one informed me only the patient. it was cancelled until tomorrow . when i phoned the staff nurse to ask what was happening i was told abruptly to phone back and speak to a doctor after their lunch break. the staff nurse on when i arrived later was very helpful and explained the situation. But why was i not informed or kept up to date when your NOK is having an op? it states in his records to inform me of any changes,why was this procedure not followed. i am at the end of my tether with ward 1 and so are most of the patients i see there,tell me how they feel but the staff don,t listen. I may add again the HCA are brilliant, more compassionate and caring than the trained nurses. However i would like to praise tim on the ward and the porter who delivers the food and the car parking staff, they are down to earth,helpful and caring.it is a shame the nursing staff don,t follow their example. I know i keep complaining but when is something going to change?
