"I was treat with respect in some ..."

About: Sunderland Royal Hospital

(as the patient),

What I liked

I was treat with respect in some departments but as soon as I entered wards I felt as was ignored as a patient without being given any details of the prognosis of my condition or how I was to be treated. Whilst I understand staff are busy this is unacceptable to treat people with indifference .Never ever state you are a smoker or you are immediately discriminated against and treat like the bottom of the pile .

What could be improved

The student nurses could not have been more helpful they were great, however some of the more experienced staff had their own air of superiority, All staff need to treat patients with the respect they deserve. I contantly heard the lederly being treat and spoken to like small children which was so disrespectful
