Whilst I think that this hospital ranks better than most I agree with some of the other reviews in that their control of smoking on site is nothing short of pathetic, During numerous visits this year (2013) I have witnessed staff (nurses and paramedics) smoking on site and returning to work without washing their hands (makes a mockery of asking visitors and patients to sanitize their hands..!!) It ain't rocket science guys - you just get security to make the main entrance part of their patrol areas and enforce your own rules.

Thank you for the comment, we have in the past week erected large no smoking signs at key entrances along with communications to Trust and Ambulance colleagues that no smoking is permitted on-site.
