Anything else?
My wife broke her leg in June, at least we think it was broken as nobody has actually taken the time to discuss the injury; is it broken or fractured is it the ankle or the leg? The leg was put in a cast for 4 weeks and then removed and she was sent home, no further X-ray or anything. Now 5 months later it's still not healed and the hospital have decided to ct scan the leg/ankle. Why does it take so long and why is it so difficult to arrange some kind of joined-up service? For example; GP writes to hospital in September appointment given at fracture clinic in October, they want it scanned appointment given in November can't get appointment to see fracture clinic until December. The letter says wait 3 weeks so that the results are available, what 3 weeks to send an electronic scan from one part of the hospital to another. This might be acceptable if her previous treatment had been satisfactory and a proper diagnosis and prognosis given but sadly this hasn't happened. As she has not been able to return to work since the injury she now finds the financial impact critical. I would consider some kind of formal complaint if I thought anyone cared and any action would be taken.
"Does anyone actually care?"
