Anything else?
My daughter was admitted to Willow Ward having been transferred from an acute ward in Macclesfield. Having been dismayed at the lack of tolerance in Macclesfield and the 'Victorian' ways that my daughter had been treated it came as a breath of fresh air when she was moved to Bowmere. The staff here couldn't be more different to the staff where she had been. As soon as my daughter arrived on Willow Ward the staff were compassionate, kind and extremely knowledgeable in the ways to help my daughter. Within 24 hours my daughter had stopped self-harming and was much calmer. The staff spent time with my daughter and yet also gave her space when she needed it. Not only was my daughter well looked after, but I was also cared for in a most compassionate way. I was kept fully informed of what they were doing to help my daughter, but also felt that the staff had time for me too as my daughter's primary carer. I can't thank the staff on Willow Ward enough! They are a truly remarkable bunch of people who I feel should 'teach' others in the profession how to do it. I wish that they could be recognised more for their wonderful work. Heart-felt thanks.
"Compassionate and brilliant staff"
