Our Patient Advice and Liaison Service (PALS) is located near the main ward entrance at the Royal Shrewsbury Hospital. PALS aims to: - advise and support patients, their families and carers. - provide information on NHS services - isten to your concerns, suggestions or queries - help sort out problems quickly on your behalf As well as personal visits they can also be contacted by telephone on 01743 261691 or 0800 783 0057. Thanks also for sharing your feedback about entertainment systems. As a step towards improving facilities for patients we have recently begun to pilot patient wifi in some of our treatment areas. We are currently looking for sources of funding to be able to expand this to other areas of our hospital, as well as funding that would help us to improve the range of other facilities that we can provide such as TVs or dayrooms. A hospital environment will inevitably but unfortunately be an enviroment where sometimes there will be loss and bereavement, but we do want to do our best both for the person who is dying and their loved ones as well as for the other people for whom we are providing care.
