In June 2012 I was admitted to A&E at Guys and St Thomas's hospital suffering from a severe asthma attack. I was cared for extremely well. I was seen immediately and treatment was started as was needed. I was seen very quickly by the on-call respiratory doctor and also had intensive care doctors come to see me as well as an on-call anesthesiologist.
The staff did extremely well at comforting my mother who was 400 miles away at home in Scotland over the phone letting her know I was in the best possible care.
I was admitted to ICU 1 for a night and was then transferred to Hillyer's ward for further observation. The staff in all areas of the hospital were extremely caring and kind, and it's some of the best medical care I have ever received.
