I was very concerned at lack of hydration, feeding and basic hygiene care for my elderly mother. I repeatedly pointed out the risk of a urinary tract infection, but little was done. After a few days of course Mum contracted a UTI. staff I believe meant well but there was a serious shortage of staff at weekends. Eventually I insisted she was discharged and on return home she improved dramatically and immediately. For much of the time it was extremely difficult (as next of kin) to get any information. Completed on behalf of my Mother as nok with power of attorney.
