"Talking therapy made a huge difference to how I was coping in my life"

About: Inclusion Matters Liverpool

(as the patient),

Talking therapy made a huge difference to how I was coping in my life.

My therapist was brilliant - I felt an instant rapport with her.

I think the main benefit to me was that for the first time in a long while I was validated as a human being and felt that I was perfectly entitled to have the feelings I did about the circumstances of my life. I was not a bad person. This alone began to lift my depression.

Also, I didn't really have much support elsewhere, it was a huge comfort to me to know I had this time every week when somebody was willing to listen to me and try and help me resolve/improve my problems. The only negative is the length of time I had to wait for therapy.

PS my therapist was Krystyna.

Dear Gain91

Thank you so much for this positive feedback, I will ensure that Krystyna gets this.

I am so glad that you had that rapport as it clearly does make a huge difference, and it sounds like you are certainly feeling much more confident about yourself which is great.

I am sorry you had to wait for the service, we are aware of this and constantly endevouring to improve this with current resources.

Thanks again and I wish you all the very best for the future.

Kind regards

Heather
