"No identity bands on my newborn baby!"

About: Leighton Hospital

Anything else?

Baby Born: 19/07/2013 @1:48am. My baby was wrapped in a rough towel when he was born. I was sick all over my top just before going to the labour suite and was left wearing it throughout. After delivery I was unable to lie down because my bed was covered in blood and other material from the birth. I sat in a chair waiting to go onto the ward for another two hours. I was not offered anything to eat or drink at all. Transferred to Ward 23 at 05:54am (As we were leaving the ward to go home one of the staff who was helping to bath a baby asked me if I had got my 'cot card' I didn't know what she meant and she said that all babies have little cards (either pink or blue) on their cots with names, d.o.b. ect on them. I looked for one but I didn't have one. While I was looking I found x2 name tags with my babies details handwritten on them down the side of his cot.
